The greater portraitist of the American society had to be there. Warhol personifies an era that I wish I lived in. Being a young artist in NYC in the 60’s, meeting Basquiat, Keith Haring or the Velvet Underground at the Factory must have been something. Warhol is the unescapable face of this time.
